Friday 11/24 Walk around Tokyo
The next morning (after being up since 4am), 11/24 we ate at McDonalds for breakfast (we ate at Cafe Voloce the day before). It was so much better than home- not greasy at all! We used our Japan Rail Pass to check out a few local areas in Tokyo. First, we went to Central Tokyo to see Imperial Palace, but the guard said it was a private entrance and the gardens were closed so we took a short walk around it. It's surrounded by a moat. We ate at an "Italian" restaurant called Papa Milano. Shawn and I both ordered the spaghetti with sausage- it turned out to be pork sausage so the whole meal tasted like hotdogs. We took the rail to Shibuya (shi-boo-ya), a Times Square type of place. Then walked to the Meijing Shrine gardens. Afterwards we ate at Johnathans Coffee and Restaurant.
